About
Tasharen Entertainment Inc. (operating name Tasharen Entertainment) is a small independent game development studio based out of Aurora, Ontario (Canada). Tasharen is most famous for NGUI — an add-on for the Unity engine, as well as the game Windward available on Steam.
As for Tasharen’s privacy policy, it’s simple: Tasharen games don’t collect any private information. Never have, never will. If you choose to play multiplayer, only public or non-identifying information, such as your Steam username/ID and/or machine ID is used to uniquely identify your account for server-side save purposes. Certain hardware details, such as your OS type (Win/Mac/Linux), GPU model and CPU type may be queried by Unity (the game engine used by Tasharen’s games), although Tasharen’s games have been choosing to opt out of this feature since 2019. As far as other players in multiplayer games (if you choose to play multiplayer), all they will see is your chosen player profile name, which is what you choose to call yourself, typically set on the game’s main menu.
