Hello everyone! My name is Bruno Mikoski, I'm the lead developer at Monster Juice! We make one plugin to export our gui from PSD directly to N-GUI in Unity3D! And we want some beta tests to make this tool even more useful to anyone!
Check the video of the Alpha Version and HOW TO:
http://youtu.be/UDvoYx1N2e0
Download alpha version:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0Bx3gW3IbiR_sdVlBRDlkTHJBaUE
* Features
- Create your gui entirely in PSD and get the exact same result in Unity3D
- Don't waste more time adjusting positions!
- Create objects objects with empty game objects for anchors
- Up to 10x faster than create gui by hand
- Update the positions by changing the PSD
- Automatically create Widgets based on the prefix on PSD (like "btn" for the ImageButtons);

- Accept all widgets
- create the label and text objects setting the fonts.
post here if you want a beta version!

That seems very clever. I'd like to try it out.
-
Might want to try it out, too. From the top of my head, this would probably make it easy for creating GUI-setups for different target resolutions, since you can just resize the PSD, do some repositioning and instantly have new atlas and stuff ready.
-
I wouldn't mind giving this a shot, do you have some small amount of documentation to go with it, for prefixes/proper exporting at least?
-
We are about to close this very first alpha version, and i'll upload at last tomorrow!
We don't have much of documentation yet, but I'll put the acceptables prefixes and some tips here!
-
I like to test too.
-
I defensive like to give this a try!
Does it support Pixel and percent units for the placement?

@Malzbier @joreldraw
The Alpha version is avaliable :)
-
Wow, definitly interested !
thanks for sharing !

First post to say Wow !!! beta version needed ;D
Great work !
-
Very interesting idea!
Hope to test beta version.
Thank you for making. ;)
-
Really awesome !
Good work ;)
PS : Does it support using the same atlas for multiple PSD for example ?
-
Hi Bruno :)
Nice work you did, but it's quite buggy after I tested your plugin.
- In my side, I can't drag-drop the exporter just like you did in the video. I can still double click the script though.
- The script occasionally crashes my Photoshop.
- It doesn't automatically creates the Atlas and position in the scene. It does though when I use your clickable menu.
- Different layers in photoshop comes altogether in 1 sprite, even though I've named them with prefix 'Button', it still merges.
It would be nice if different layers can become different GameObjects which I can move around again in Unity.
Maybe you'd want to look at those issues and make improvements for your plugin.
Anyway, it's a great job! Thanks :D

sadly for the life of me I cannot get this to work without crashing photoshop on the first couple object exports. Unity 3.5 mac and Photoshop CS6. Wish I could figure out the root of the problem...

I'd like to try it out

That seems Excellent. I'd like to try it out.
-
It might be very handy. I would try beta ^_^
-
Is this still in beta? Is this still available to test? I think that this would be very useful, especially for rapid prototyping! Great work so far!

It's called "FastGUI" on the asset store.
-
