Hi,
I'm currently joining the online competition of 7DRL (7-day roguelike), and want to use NGUI in my game.
The problem is that I want to release all my assets etc for free to the asset store when the game is done, but ofcourse cant share NGUI in that.
I want to know which NGUI version I should use for that, and how would that workflow be? (Do I create it with my own license, and swap everything out later for another version?)
I am using Unity 4.0, is latest free/redist compatible and updated with that?
kind regards,
D.

Redistributable version would be ideal for that. It's tiny in size and will allow you to run NGUI content.

and as for my other questions, do I swap versions of NGUI before releasing it then, and are they Unity 4.0 compatible (latest NGUI from Asset Store, and the Redist)?
Thanks!

It should still be compatible, yes. If nothing else, you can use the Free version to create the UI, and it will be forward compatible.
