Hi all - we've launched a website for our indie development, and we're trying to build up a community before launching a Kickstarter campaign to try and raise enough funds to finish and then self publish the game.
NGUI has been key for us, thanks for a great product!
Check out more info on the game here: www.undeadoverlord.com
It's a zombie game, in reverse - where you get to control a horde of zombies. We call it a Zombie Dominion RTS. Just the sort of gory, gruesome silliness to get the local PTA up in arms. :-) So if you're into that sort of thing, come have a look, maybe even give us a "like".
And, of course, we're very much open to any sort of feedback on the game, the site, our hairstyles. Whatever. Especially from other developers!
Cheers,

Very nice! Reminds me of Dungeon Keeper, except set in a city, and with zombies instead of minions. Add some building mechanics to it, and you'll have a goldmine.
-
Ooh - building mechanics! I like it.
And yes, that's exactly right - we even reference Dungeon Keeper as an influence in our description of the game.
Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Looks fun! Good luck!
Random suggestion, add who you are to your website. Why are you guys going to make this game awesome?
-
Thanks kevork! Glad you think so!
That's a fine suggestion, too - and funny you should mention it. Our second pass at a "team" page went up internally yesterday. After some review/feedback and a third pass, that will go live soon.
Clearly, great minds think alike. ;)
-
Took a little while, but our Team page is live now - including the obligatory zombie versions of the team members' pics, which are really fun!
Have a look if you're interested:

Also, our first gameplay trailer went up on Youtube a couple of weeks ago. So you can see some of the Undead Overlord characters and environments in action:

People tend to be enthusiastic about the game when they see it, which is great. Our main challenge now is to get the word out to more people. So any links or likes or +1s or shares of any kind from this community would certainly be much appreciated! :)
Cheers,

My only suggestion is work on those animations. They seem a little awkward. In that video where you send a zombie to attack a woman, she just stands there getting pummeled on -- very unnatural. Then she gets up in an unnatural fashion. Aggressive zombies like that should run, jump, and latch onto their victims to make it seem more awesome. ;)

Always room for improvement in an indie game, right?
Thanks for the feedback!

Quick head up for anyone interested in Undead Overlord - our Kickstarter is now live!

Any help spreading the word about the game would be massively appreciated . . .

Reanimating this thread to say that Undead Overlord is going to be available on Steam Early Access in just over a week.
Store page is here: http://store.steampowered.com//app/291370 (http://store.steampowered.com//app/291370)
We are still using NGUI, and still consider it a key element of our development.
Thanks, once again, for an excellent product - and perhaps more importantly, thanks for the regular and continued improvements and fixes to said product.
Cheers!

P.S. See you in Seattle for Unite this year?
-
Looking good!
I don't think I'll be at this year's Unite. But who knows, I may change my mind at the last minute.
