Title: Novice how to add a script to a button

I am not a coder. Where should I go to find some easy cut and paste scripts for button behavior?

Use the button-widget of NGUI. If you wish to call methods in other GameObject, the ButtonMessage-script is easy to use.

Since your problem is not specified at all, I don't think you can get much help here. I'd advise to find a coder to help you out.
