Title: Failed to Load
Post by: IndestructibleVince on September 02, 2013, 11:54:21 PM
I hate being a noob and asking this question, but I purchased and downloaded NGUI 2.6.3 for Unity 4 and everything was working just fine until I downloaded and installed 2.6.4. My Project is giving me 'Failed to Load' errors on everything I'm trying to do with NGUI. Can someone please help? We have serious deadlines this week and it slowed me down over the weekend.

Have you tried importing NGUI like it says in the README?

1. In Unity, File -> New Scene
2. Delete the NGUI folder from the Project View.
3. Import NGUI from the updated Unity Package.

If so, is it all the NGUI scripts that are failing to load? Or just specific ones? Is there a Debug Error being sent to Console?
If there is an error in them caused by a similar script name already existing then it won't run any of the scripts until that is resolved.

I apologize to the community for my ignorance. I am new to the scripting game and I am still learning how to navigate through code. Everything DID install properly. Let me explain for the sake of other noobs like myself.

First off, LightSky, I read the readme file and went through the steps, just as you and the file has directed. Thank you for responding so swiftly. I should have mentioned first-hand that I did those steps, so I apologize to you as well.

Prior to my install, I had the Atlas Maker Tool and the Open Panel Tool docked next to the Hierarchy Tab. When I installed the new product, the tabs to both the docked Panel and Atlas Maker tools thus read 'Failed to Load.' I did not check the menu: NGUI> Open Panel Tool (or Opan Atlas Maker). I did this while on the phone this morning and everything seemed to work just fine. It was just a matter of re-loading and re-docking the tools. Again, I apologize humbly. Thank you LightSky for offering help to address this matter.
