.NET Core support
« on: December 07, 2016, 03:38:04 PM »
Hi, I'm wondering, has anyone tried to port TNet to Core? Porting to .NET Core should be pretty easy, according to this article: http://www.michael-whelan.net/porting-dotnet-framework-library-to-dotnet-core/

I've been doing a lot of research on networking options for Unity and .NET Core. Core is the "stripped down" version of .NET and it runs on a lot of different OSs now, and it's open source. I chose Core because I love C#, it's lightweight, and it's fast. It seems pretty solid, but it's also still kind of new.

I am not affiliated with the owners of that site in any way, it just looked like some good information when I was googling "porting for .net core". I'm also not "selling" Core or affiliated with Microsoft, I just think Core has a good future ahead of it.

I'd really appreciate it if one of the TNet developers or third-party developers would be kind enough to see if TNet will run on .NET Core. If so, I will immediately purchase TNet.

Thanks.
