TNet vs other networking solutions

Hello,

I don't really want to compare all features of TNet vs other networking frameworks but I really would like to know if there are some differences in the core.

For example you mentioned that you can define integers/bytes in instead of strings to save some bandwidth.

But what I want to know are there major differences between uLink and TNet?

What I really didn't like with uLink was that I always had to open unity two times. I also needed an extra program to keep them in sync. But with TNet it seems that I can just hit "play" and it automatically starts the server in the background.

Not being familiar well enough with uLink I can't comment on this much. With TNet you can start an instance of the server in the background right from within Unity, yes. TNet is designed with Unity's "shit just works" approach. :)
