Select a sprite window blank sprites
« on: March 20, 2013, 07:11:18 PM »
I am getting blank sprites in all the sprites listed in the "Select A Sprite" window. But if I click on any of these blank spaces an actual sprite gets selected that is on the atlas. This happened recently, and I wasn't sure if it was after an update to NGUI or something else.

What version of NGUI are you on? This briefly broke a few updates back (2.3.2ish i think)

Yes, I have updated. I followed this procedure:
- create a new scene
- delete the NGUI folder
- import the newest version from the asset store

What version of NGUI does it say you have in the readme file, and what dimensions is the texture used by your atlas?

Aha, I've found the problem. I thought I had the latest version installed as I tried to install today, but apparently Unity downloaded 2 versions of the plugin into 2 separate subfolders under Tasharen Entertainment folder in Library. So even though it downloaded the latest version, it then only imported the older version 2.3.3 every time I tried to import since that version.

So if anyone else has trouble updating NGUI, just check your unity asset store folder (Library/Unity on the Mac) and delete the old versions and redownload from the asset store.
