How to deactivate UI temporarily while waiting for async operation

Hi,
While waiting for a "Register" or "Login" to process, I'm spinning a gameobject in the foreground and would like NGUI to stop processing clicks and keypresses while it waits. What's the best way to do that?
Cheers,
Jamie

Easiest is to put a collider in front of everything that doesn't do anything and removing it when your async operation is done.
