Space Game Starter Kit
« on: February 11, 2014, 04:45:59 PM »
Hi,
I recently Downloaded the Space Game Starter Kit with the NGUI and TNET upgrades. After installing it and subsequently the NGUI and TNET everything was working fine. I changed nothing and closed it down. The next day I booted it up to start work and it controls did not funtion correctly (like space bar was being held) I stopped it and started and that was fine. However the shield and health bars were not displaying even though they appear in the hierarchy along with the crosshair. The speed reading is still displaying. The bars in the heirarchy have missing components , the fore and backgrounds of both bars have missing scripts, and the bar container has no appearance items. I have no idea why this happened. All I did was open unity again. I have tried re importing everything even starting from the start with a brand new project. Still the same issue. The only thing I can think of is it asked to upgrade the project. Does anyone know what may have happened?

I can't tell you what went wrong, but I would advise you to import the SGSK+NGUI+TNet into a brand-new project and start fresh.

Missing scripts generally imply a dis-association between the files in the project and the accompanying metadata. Happens when copying the Assets folder from one project to another without "visible metadata files" option.

Unfortunately I have redownloaded and imported all packages into both existing and new projects with the same effect. I will continue to try.

Ok so to fix this I needed to run the NGUI 2.7 to 3 update. So... Yeah...  :-[
