2.6.3 Scroll View Example Sliced Sprite Flat Outline
« on: March 20, 2014, 06:59:49 AM »
I am using "Example 7  - Scroll View (Panel)" as a template for one of my menus.

I am having difficulty replicating the Sliced Sprite on the UI Grid that provides a white shadow behind the Orc Armour icon.

This sliced sprite renders as a smooth box with very smooth changes to transparency getting greater towards the centre.

The Flat Outline spite used from the Fantasy Atlas is only 17x17 pixels and not smooth like it renders.  Yet this magically happens??

I have tried to recreate this effect, but I cannot.  I have even extracted the sprite from the Fantasy Atlas to try and re-use it.  No success.  If I use the Fantasy Atlas sprite, this always works.

I have played with the texture import settings, but nothing I try works.

Could you please tell me how you achieve this smooth clean look from 17x17 pixel sprite.

(Yes I am using 2.6.3.  I can't/Won't upgrade as I am in the middle of a project)

Use slicing by specifying a border on your sprite.

Also keep in mind NGUI 2 is not supported.
