New Galaxy Types?

I would easily pay $5 for a 10 map galaxy pack for added re-playability.

Any plans to add more Galaxy's?

If you need ideas look at the PC game Sins of Solar Empire.  They have identical map set up with lanes.  Look under the map listings.

I just might, but the trick is making the galaxy layouts interesting. All map types are procedural, and beyond limiting the number of connections and where connections are established, there isn't a whole lot that can be done to add variety. Now static, pre-generated maps... those can easily be created and made interesting. Of course trouble with those is that once you play them a few times, you won't want to play again.

It may vary from player to player, but if we have a decent pool of pre-made maps i think the re-playability is there since we have alot of game setup options, abilities and strategies to use.  Because realistically the existing maps are largely already the same from one game to the next.  how about premake the layouts but have the planet types random?  If not, make it premade but have the strategic planets in the middle to contest for.

Another game that has alot of replayability due to the expanded map packs is Vengeance.

Maps can also be premade into a grid setup.  like a chess board (4 player) pentagon (5 player) etc.

Or maps with large "Lobes" hanging off tot he side like a peninsula...

I'll probably just add a map editor at some point where you can create your own galaxies then post them for others.

That would be very neat.  but since it is a cell phone app, how would i add a map to the game?

The galaxy map itself is very simple. You always get the same number of stars. The only thing that changes are the stars' positions, the anomaly that goes on them, and the connections between them. All of this data is easily saved, and can even be embedded in a string to be sent to other players or saved on the web. So when you choose to play a specific map multi-player, the players don't create the map from scratch. They simply receive your galaxy data.

Nope, not yet. I haven't had a chance to go back to Starlink just yet.

I haven't done anything on this yet as I'm currently focusing on getting Windward's beta ready for Steam. I plan on further expanding Starlink soon after.
