Title: UPnP on LAN

Hi

Does UPnP do anything if my server and client are just connecting within the LAN of is it just for opening ports from/to WAN?

It doesn't do anything that would affect LAN gameplay.

I mean, does it open server ports within the LAN or is this not required within the LAN since they're all open anyway?

Not required for LAN gameplay. It's only needed if you have someone from the internet connecting to your computer that's behind a router.
