Title: Free version of Tnet
Post by: sberghici on November 18, 2013, 12:04:46 PM
From "TNet: Tasharen Networking Framework" thread:
"Yeah I can probably create a free version later. It would be a lot easier to do than with NGUI. ETA-wise... a few days. I have to create some graphics for the asset store. Out-of-code documentation pages and a video would be helpful as well."

Do you still plan to release a free version of TNet like NGUI? I'm planning to release the asset that depends on TNet plus I guess you'll get much more users with test before you buy approach.

I vaguely remember putting that on hold back then for some reason, but can't recall what the reason was today... Hmm.

I can create a distribution version instead of the free one. That one wouldn't involve editor side code, so its easier.

I'm not sure how you could make a free version of it. TNet is already so simple and easy idk how one could limit it?

Maybe release an old version?

This thread is one of those things I am reminded of once in a blue moon only to forget all about it the following day. :|

I gave it a shot earlier... deleted the Examples and Editor folders, compiled it into a DLL... then restored the examples and Editor folders and deleted Client, Server and Common folders (whos scripts are now in the DLL).

Unfortunately all the references to TNet's components become broken. TNObject, TNAutoSync, etc.
