multiplayer stars don't capture
« on: September 17, 2015, 08:44:39 AM »
Hi there,
I have found in a large proportion of games, maybe 25%, that some stars just will not capture. They end up sucking up ships and trapping them, ranging from an annoyance to a game-changing effect. We have had to abandon games as a result. This is a shame as it's a neat little game. Sometimes simple concepts are the best.
Cheers,
Ali

I'd need more details as I haven't seen this. What version of the game did you notice this in?

As far as I can see it's version 1.60. I think it may be related to using bribe or anarchy but I could be wrong. Sorry I can't give more detail. I will keep playing and see if I can provide more information. Am surprised other players are not commenting as I know they are getting it to.

Yes, I experienced the same thing. What happens is that the star in question is converted to neutral and then it stays neutral for ever. No matter how many ships you send, it stays neutral. And all the ships that go in get stuck. You can't select the fleet of that star to move it. So first you try to capture it, sending in more and more ships until you reached your limit and then no ships are produced anymore = game over.

I have no clue about when this happens.
