Getting the example atlas original files
« on: April 23, 2012, 04:03:11 PM »
Hi again.

Is there anyway that we can get access to the example atlas original files? There are some sprites that I would like to use... But without having to use the full atlas..

Is this possible?

Thanks

Which one? SciFi and Fantasy atlases were created by hand before the Atlas Maker tool was implemented, so there are no source textures. Wooden atlas is the only one that has source textures.

Lighting speed responses as always! LOL

Oh I see. I was interested in some of the sprites from the Sci Fi and Fantasy atlas.. But if it's not possible there's no way =\
Because the sprites I have don't seem to scale nicely.
Oh well..

Hi !

I could definitely use the files from the Wooden atlas, especially "Highlight - Shadowed" and "Button", but if you have everything, I'll take it !

Thanks :)

Thanks for this. I was also thinking of adding a sprite into my atlas to save on a draw call but couldn't because there were no original files. Curse you ArenMook for making such awesome default images ;)

Awesome, thanks a lot !

Nicki : You're right, I could have them cut, but now it's available for everyone with no effort :)

Can someone explain me why when I import one of this psd files to my atlas it doesn't look the same as in wooden atlas?

In the wooden atlas the sliced sprites look great, but in my atlas they don't.. I also noticed that the preview of the sprite shows 4 dashed lines that in my case don't appear.. I suspect it has something to do with this.

Edit: Found it.. Had to change the sprite proprieties. One more thing.. For you ArenMook. Did you do anything special withe the ScyFy font.. Because the letters seem to have some sort of glow.. Also can you tell me the font you used there? Thanks =)

I modified the font in Photoshop to make it fancier. "Aldrich" was the name of the font used for SciFi Normal, and "Radio Stars" was the font used for SciFi header.

No need to create a new thread for this, but I was wondering if anyone had the Font name for the Fantasy Font?

Hi. If I add the a button.png from the Wooden Atlas to my project atlas, the sprite shows as 19x19(NPOT) ARGN 32 bit in the Preview window. From what I understand all images need be to the power of two in Unity. The other images from the Wooden Atlas are not sized to the power of two as well. Is there something I am doing wrong or are the sprites supposed to be sized this way?

The size of source textures don't matter for NGUI.

Sorry, ArenMook, but I think you may have missed my question. I hate pestering, but I'd really like to know if you (or anyone) has the answer: What is the name of the font used in the Fantasy Atlas?
