Aren,

I am just curios as to the status of the next update for TNet.  I know you are busy with the GUI in Unity and NGUI, but I eagerly await the next update ( that is if you are still planning on adding the server migration feature ).

The next game i'll be making, which I am going to devote most of the next year to, is going to be a multi-player game from the ground up, so I will make use of TNet extensively in the process. Since using the tool is the best way to find way to improve it, you can expect good things to come to TNet.

If by server migration you mean clients automatically choosing a new server if the existing one drops, then yes it's a planned feature.

I was just curious if that was still going to happen. You had mentioned in a thread that you were hoping to have that in by the end of October but ended up busy with the other projects.

Yup, I was hoping to have the game well underway already. Didn't happen.

But now that I've parted ways with Unity, I'll have one less thing holding me back.

No, I was working full-time, but to contrary belief I was not working on it myself. Not summer onward anyway. Right now there are 5 others no the GUI team, two of whom are extremely smart guys that I'm really glad I had a chance to work with. It's in good hands. It was in a ready-ish state back in August, and has only been improving since.

That's awesome to hear. I am eagerly awaiting it to come out so can compare it to NGUI.  I hope you left on good terms.
