Looking for documentation
« on: February 25, 2014, 11:42:19 AM »
I'm working on a project which uses a pre-3.0 version of NGUI.

There used to be a writeup that described how the scroll-window was set up, but I can no longer find it.  I can't remember how to set it up looking at the interactive example (I thought it was more complex than that), so if someone could tell me where I might find that old how-to I would much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Funny, I just finished posting about how we need more a significant documentation solution for NGUI. I'm a long time user of NGUI and the 3.x barely makes sense to me. Lots of paradigms changed, there's new little "aha" boxes you have to check and stuff like that —— all things that aren't immediately intuitive and thus merit documentation.

NGUI is awesome when it works as you expect it to :) And frustrating when it doesn't and you're left on your own :(

@artician: Pre-3 versions of NGUI are no longer supported, and scroll views in particular were changed drastically to make them significantly easier to set up in NGUI 3. You can still likely find the information you need on my older youtube videos, but as I aid... NGUI 2 cycle was deprecated quite a while ago.

@jtfrench: is aimed to add all kinds of written documentation. If you want specifics, it's best to ask in a component-specific thread, and I'll provide a more detailed explanation.
