NGUI 3 Support / Re: Creating a prefab loses settings/connections
« on: January 14, 2016, 01:27:37 PM »
I actually just found a post long ago, prefabs don't keep references that are outside of itself. Thought I was going mad.

Hi all, I have tried to search but cannot find an answer.
To explain in short when I create a prefab of a gameobject that has a UI button or Event trigger on it loses all the settings/connections I have done in the On Press and On Release. I'm sure it does it with the others too. I have setup an entire control system on one scene now I need this duplicated on new scenes/levels. What might be happening here?

NGUI 3 Support / Re: UIPanel Clipping mess up font

Well, thank's for reading. I had closed Unity to go and do something else and "cooldown" and it seems back to normal now. I had restarted unity earlier and it didn't help. I don't know. My PC is retarded. :-\

NGUI 3 Support / UIPanel Clipping mess up font
« on: December 12, 2013, 12:31:38 PM »
Hi there, I'm having a problem with fonts that are under a UIPanel object with clipping enabled.
The fonts show like this

It was working yesterday and has always been working fine. I must have done something an not noticed until now.
When I disable clipping on the panel the font appears fine, if I move the label out of the UIPanel object it's also fine.

Hi there, could someone help with an example of this? I'm not coming right. I'm looking for eg. a fishing reel on the screen where you would need to press and drag in a circle. Or a ship's "Wheel" etc. Thank's.

Thanks, seems to be working 100% now as you can probably see the logged ip :)
Now I don't have to search with the URL and load the cached version  ;D

NGUI 3 Support / Your connection has been blocked in the server's firewall
« on: September 24, 2012, 03:15:25 PM »
Hi again Aren,
I managed to come right with my scrolling text earlier and have been porting one of my android games to NGUI and loving every second of it. Really appreciate your hard work!

One concern is my home connection cannot access your domain and a few others here in South Africa have the same problem, seems if the IP range is within range 41.x.x.x we get the message below.

Your connection has been blocked in the server's firewall.
If you feel this is an error please click here to contact support.

If you give this info to support it will speed the resolution:

Your blocked IP address is 41.135.x.x
This server's hostname is ez25.ez-web-hosting.com

If you have time to contact your hosting company and find out why its blocked. Would seem the whole range needs unblocking.?

Thanks in advance.

NGUI 3 Support / Simple Scrollable Text
« on: September 23, 2012, 11:41:10 AM »
Hi Aren,

I'm looking to buy your product while it's on sale and trying out all the features.
I'm stuck on creating simple lines of text scrollable like your chat example. I've tried following that example but theres no clear steps or intructions for this, I got it to a point where when i begin scrolling and all the text in the label dissapears instantly. Am I missing something? I'm trying to create a verticle Highscore list and it should display all the scores fetched from my database and should be able to scroll it up and down.

Thanks.
