Objects "disappearing" after rebuilding corrupt Atlases

This is strange.  I had an Atlas get horribly corrupted, which was weird in and of itself, since it was only 1024x1024 and I was just adding a small sprite to it.  But in any event, I rebuilt the atlas, and now I have a strange situation where I can 'see" the outlines of my widgets, sprites, etc in 3D view, but they aren't there (or at least are not opaque).  I tried fiddling with all sorts of settings, have tried removing/readding them, etc.  But no love.  I've also tried updating to the most recent release (I was only 1 minor release behind, so I didn't think it would fix it, but figured it was worth a go).

Any ideas out there on what could have caused it, and where I might start in terms of fixing it?

See attached image of 3D view.  No matter what atlas/sprite I choose, they just won't show up.  Color tinting is fully opaque, FWIW, so they should show up. :(  It was like it was working one day, and the next, nada.

No idea what caused it, but I ended up rebuilding everything so all is good :)

By default Unity limits textures to be 1024x1024 for mobile platforms. If your atlas exceeds that, Unity may force the texture to become smaller than it should be. You should increase the maximum size just to be safe and always make sure that your quality settings don't reduce the texture size.
