Odd color bleed on font symbol
« on: March 15, 2013, 08:10:16 PM »
Hi guys,

I've searched back a couple months in the forum for related issues but can't tell if this has been addressed. Apologies if so. I don't understand how fonts work very well ;)

I'm trying to add a symbol to the Arimo20 / Wooden Atlas example files and followed the NGUI Youtube example on how to do so. However, after trying it 10 different ways with 2 different image editing programs / symbol images, I keep getting the same weird error. Note that I don't have Photoshop (just Paint.Net and Gimp).

I've got a little sword symbol, and the bottom right corner of it is creating a streak of color down the screen when it displays. See attached  screenshots.

Not only that, but on one of my attempts, after exiting Unity and coming back, the entire atlas was screwed up with chopped up fonts, buttons that no longer displayed, etc. I had to revert to an old version. I'm obviously doing something very wrong...

Symbols are handled differently now. Update NGUI, select the font prefab, and just add your symbol there.
