Just to signal a problem I had when switching to 3.0.6:
Basically all the focus events on buttons became very laggy: buttons would focus once but not unfocus, or not get focused when the mouse cursor would hover on them...
I solved the problem by switching the Project Settings -> Time -> Fixed Timestep back from 0.01(my custom value) to 0.02 (the default value)
I did not investigate further, I'm still busy upgrading everything to 3.0.6 (and enjoying a lot of the new features by the way!)
