Next version / pricing questions

I apologize if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I didn't see the answers on this forum or the unity forums, or in the FAQ. 

• When is the next version of NGUI scheduled?
• If I buy the current version in the asset store, what is the upgrade path to the next version and how much will that cost?

Basically, I'd be reluctant to buy the current version on the asset store if there's a new version on the horizon with a paid upgrade from the current version that costs more than the hassle of me using the evaluation copy until I can buy the new version

As far as I know you do not need to pay when a new version of an asset comes out. Or maybe I misunderstood you
