Fixed UI Size, iPhone Touch Pickyness
« on: March 14, 2013, 01:17:43 PM »
So I was playing a game called Clash of Clans recently on iPhone and noticed it always seems to pick up every one of my touches on even the tiniest buttons.. things that are 1/10 of my finger size.

When I go to touch buttons on my IPhone game sometimes it requires precise touching right at an exact spot to get the small buttons to register.

Question: Did they possibly make it so it detected a hit "area" and found objects under and processed a click on whatever the initial point of contact to your finger was and is there any way to do this?

My colliders are the full size of the images on my screen, so I don't see what else could be causing them to be so hard to click on at times.  An example of a size I'm running into issues is when the X or Y is less than 75px and set res of 720/720/720 for the UI.

They just use larger colliders than the sprites. That's not difficult.

If you have sticky keys enabled, you have to both touch down and touch up to count as a click. Disabled, you just have to released on a give collider.
