So, my world is generated, how do I save it? :)

Hi,

Just bought it,and immediately thought about.. how do I preserve some nicely generated world and use it in game? every time regeneration is not good.

Btw, how to enlarge the world and make it populate the whole terrain/plane? There's a lot of leftover place if you look at it from above.

Which package are you referring to? MPGSK? It only generates when you ask it to. You can disable the scripts and it won't happen again.

Yes, sorry, it's MPGSK.

Can you answer my second question?

As you can see on the screenshot, your script generates radial terrain on a square plain. Can you point me into the place where I could adjust it or help me with it?
I'm working without GFX support now and I need to build up some kind of arts and graphics out of available assets and proceed to develop prototype, no time for messing with asset sources. MPGSK is a spot on for me, but this weird generation and the inability to increase world size without breaking the noise smoothness is dull.

Here's what I mean about radial generation

Really appreciate any help on that

Distance Adjustment curve is what makes the terrain go up to max. If you set it to a flat 0, it won't have mountains on the sides.

All the sliders are based on the distance from the center of your terrain, but you can turn all of it off if you don't like that.

Also what do you mean "inability to increase world size without breaking the noise smoothness"? I just did a quick test with the MPGSK:

1. Changed terrain to 512x512 width/height, resolution to 513.
2. Hit Generate Now -- the terrain got bigger, using the same exact noise resolution.

The smoothness of the individual noises is controlled by the Noise Density sliders and curves. The transition between the noises is controlled by the Control Density and the Control curve.
