Misc Archive / Re: Web demo of UI for upcoming game

Absolutely agree with you on these -- for the full PC version, the mouse rotate works beautifully like in the orc rotate demo.  The scrollbars are also a really good point, we'll add those.

The PS4 and Vita version has an interface that is more controller driven, so that menu system will be slightly different.

Thanks for the feedback!

We just posted a quick preview for the UI and 3d model viewer in MechRunner here

Feel free to play, post away, share, comment, enjoy, customize, etc.!

Warning -- it's using pretty much every bit of graphical juice we can pull!

Indeed, we certainly spend many hours on that wonderful series!  Looking forward to the new one, as well.

Here's a bit more animated versions (apologies for the load times -- each GIF is over 10MB, but totally worth it!)

We're a long time user of NGUI and have released a number of games in the past using this incredible plugin (arguably the best on available on the Asset Store!)

Our newest announcement is for MechRunner which is due to launch in just a couple of months.  A couple of teaser screenshots are included here showing what we've done with NGUI between the main menu and the in-game HUD.

General awesomeness:

It has been an interesting year of development on this title, and we started the project only focusing on one platform type, but now that we're approaching launch we have decided to up our game quite a bit and make a push for console and high-end PC.  Fortunately, one area that has not been a concern is with regards to how we implement our UI, and being able to use the same system on a variety of platform hardware.  There's a bit more information about the game available on our website as well.

We are also working hard on Firefly Online and we will post more previews of the fabulous UI system from that game as we get further along.  We will definitely be sticking with NGUI for all of our game UI implementations, as it has always solved all of our needs across multiple platforms and genres of games.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to reach out with any questions or comments!
