Dragging slider's thumb?
« on: June 24, 2012, 04:52:38 PM »
Hi!

Just bought NGUI, all good so far.

2 questions, though : 1) Slider widget - if I drag it fast, it moves along. If I drag it slowly, it's position is only updated on mouseClick release. Insights???

2) Unityscript : read on the faq that I should move some folders to a Plugins folder for use with US. I haven't so far and am not having trouble. What functions require the move?

Thanks a bunch for your help, really enjoying such a streamlined solution so far!

All ok now, had duplicated my first panel instead of creating a new one. Seemed to be the source of the bug... Question about the plugins folder still stands though.

Cheers!

#2: Check the FAQ. It's the first question.

#1: It's updated every frame, but make sure the panel drawing the slider doesn't have "static" option turned on (on the UIPanel, not on the game object).

Thanks for the extremely quick replies!

Yes, static was the issue. Was confused because having static checked still lets you scale buttons...

NGUI is going to save me not hours, but days! Congrats.

Read the FAQ first thing, and that's why I was surprised to see things working fine without the move to Plugins.
