I suck at updating NGUI

SuperNewb question, please bear with me

I know to update NGUI, I'm supposed to create a new scene, delete NGUI folder, then import.

Then what?

How do I bring all the stuff from my old scene into this new scene?

You don't -- it will still be there. The new scene step is to make sure that all NGUI resources get unloaded. You don't even have to save it. After updating, just open your real scene back.
