Clone sprite? I don't think there was ever a clone sprite in there.

You can duplicate the whole gameobject by clicking ctrl+d (or cmd+d on the mac) while having it selected in the hierarchy.

Huh, I don't think I've ever used that. Instead, you can use your source files and duplicate them(new name), then use the atlas maker to put another one in the atlas with a different name, then you should have two sprites with the same content.

What do you need that for, I wonder? Can't you reuse the main one?

Clone sprite was a feature that was in version 1.0 of NGUI and became obsolete when I added the Atlas Maker, so roughly a month later. So it's a feature that has been obsolete for... over a year. I don't even remember when I finally removed the actual button. 6 months ago?

NGUI 2.2.6 has a cloneSprite button like this.
But 2.3.4 has no Clone Sprite button.

What I want to know is How I can clip sprite from Atlas.
And How to delete one of sprites on Atlas ?

Help!!!!! me!!!!!!!

Have you looked at the Atlas Maker inside the NGUI menu? When you launch it and select the Atlas you want to edit in your project list, it will list all the sprites in the atlas, and there is a cross button to delete sprites?

The clipping of sprites can still be done in the atlas prefab as per your screenshot

To clone a sprite just add the sprite again to your atlas via Atlas Maker

Not sure what functionality is missing for you?

As Roots said, you need to use the Atlas Maker.

OK, I understand your frustration.

I think the feature you are looking for has been removed - you cannot clone a sprite directly in the atlas anymore, as far as I know.

The way it works now:

Look in the Top menu. Under NGUI, there's an entry called "Atlas Maker". You can also get it out by clicking shift+alt+m.

Drag and drop your atlas into where it says "None (UIAtlas)" and you can see the different sprites in it in a list.

Select new sprites in your project view, and they will say either "update" or "Add" over in the atlas maker view.

Click the big green "Add/Update All" button, to add your new picture into the atlas.

Note that you have to make new sprites in a paiting program (photoshop, gimp, paint), you cannot directly copy a sprite inside the atlas to a new place in the atlas, if that's what you want to do. You can open the generated atlas png file and clip it out if you really want to with photoshop though.

I hope this helps you. :)

What Nicki described was my sugegstion as well. The only thing to add is that you can simply clone the sprite / texture using ctrl + D and then rename it and add it to your Atlas as per Nicki instructions. so this is essentially one small additional step from the clone button.

- Go to your Project folder where you keep your textures/sprites
- Control-D the sprite you want to clone and rename it
- Go to NGUI --> Atlas Maker and select your Atlas in the Project folders
- Select the newly cloned sprite and click add in the Atlas maker (big green button)

Then if you want to clip the sprite you need to close the NGUI Atlas Maker and go to your atlas in the project folder and select it and then you can modify each sprite by selecting it from the drop-down list.

So now you have cloned the sprite basically, agree the clone button was much quicker and easier but for me the alternative isn't too bad either partly because i rarely clone sprites.

I miss that function too.
It had some use when working with atlas that you don't have the source sprites.
