Update UIFont with config file
« on: March 28, 2013, 09:34:57 AM »
Hi,

A few weeks ago, we could update a UIFont prefab just by drag&drop the config (txt) file onto a field in the UIFont inspector, and it would update the entire font and fix it.
The field is not here anymore :/

I'm using TexturePacker to create my atlases, and it was the way I updated fonts, now the only way I can make them work, is to use the NGUI atlas maker.

Is there a reason you removed this config file field ?

Thanks.

Just to have one way of doing something rather than two.

Use the font maker.

using the font maker, will replace the font in the atlas and generate the atlas using the NGUI atlas generation right ? And not the TexturePacker...

Ah, well in your case you might need to re-enable that line then. I can't help much, I am at GDC atm.

Héhé no problem I can wait, I tried to re-enable the line in the UIFontInspector, but drag&drop the config file and nothing happened and I don't really know why...

I can wait for your return !
Have a great GDC ;)

I see that but I want officially back. I don't want to be replacing in each new version that script.

You can safely replace the file.
The fix will be present in the next version.
