Tnet looks promising for my MP needs, but before buying can i have a look at any available demos please? (the links don't seem to be working anymore)

the best demos are on youtube.  there are other assets by the creator that are more robust "demos".  ive preferred to keep track of the forums - reading other coders follies and the replies by the author are great tutorials in themselves.

ask questions.  if your questions is relevant to the asset - the author will respond, usually within 48 hours.
